While women golfers were competing on the links, President Donald Trump was the winner in his own competition, as he boasted Sunday morning that he had attracted more supporters than protesters to his New Jersey golf club.
‘Thank you to all of the supporters, who far out-numbered the protesters, yesterday at the Women’s U.S. Open. Very cool!’ Trump wrote.
Trump hasn’t been seen in Washington since Wednesday, visiting Paris for two days, and then heading directly to the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, the site of the U.S. Women’s Open.
He was joined by the First Lady, his wife Melania, at the tournament on Sunday. The first lady didn’t fail to impress once again, donned in a stunning white dress and her classic go-to shades look, but she seemed to keep a low profile and accompanied the POTUS standing by his side.
The president arrived at the viewing area a little past 3pm wearing his red ‘Make America Great Again’ hat.
His National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster was also on hand.
Around 5pm, first lady Melania Trump, sporting a white dress and heels, showed up.
